SUPPORT OUR EFFORTS TO RESCUE CHIMPS AND PRIMATES FROM POACHING
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
What makes JACK Sanctuary such an extraordinary place
The Sanctuary exists to facilitate wildlife confiscations by the authorities through providing a safe place for the orphans to live for the time being. Along with the DRC Wildlife Authorities, a pre-release program is scheduled before releasing the orphans back to the wild.
If nothing is done to protect chimpanzees and other endangered primates, they will have totally disappeared from the wild by 2050!

The story of Bunia, the rescued chimp in this video, tells the horrific story of how great apes and many other species are being affected by illegal wildlife trafficking. This black market trade is a $30 Billion a year industry and there are no signs that it’s stopping. Thousands of species of animals, including endangered species of mammals and birds, are stolen every year from their forests to be sold either for their body parts or for the exotic animal industry.
Watch how JACK Sanctuary is trying to make a difference for chimpanzees and other primates that are rescued and cared for by the heroic staff of the sanctuary in Lubumbashi, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
