OUR COMMITMENT TO OUR PARTNERS
We try to make our wildlife as rich, healthy, and abundant as it once was.
Every dollar we receive from our donors goes directly towards the programs we create and support. Whether it’s to support wildlife rehabilitation for endangered species such as painted wolves or chimpanzees or community engagement programs where we help local communities in wildlife conflict regions so that we can prevent poaching or the use of wire snares for the bush meat trade.
We also support organizations applying science studies focused on the impact of climate change on endangered species such as polar bears.
Our conservation Partners
JACK Sanctuary
J.A.C.K. Sanctuary is an NGO sanctuary in the Democratic Republic of Congo, dedicated in the rescue and rehabilitate chimpanzees and other wildlife.
Founded by Franck and Roxane Chantereau, JACK Sanctuary cares for over 40 chimpanzees and 100 primate monkeys at their sanctuary. They also promote awareness for the illegal wildlife trade, poaching and the bushmeat trade.
Umubano Wildlife Conservation Initiative (formerly MUSAA)
UWCI is a community-led conservation organization near Mgahinga National Park, Uganda. originally started by a group of young students, it is an an official NGO focused on protection wildlife and their environment, through community focused projects, that help with jobs, healthcare and education in their surrounding communities.
Formely known as MUSAA, the organization decided that they had grown to represent not just their community work, but the holistic relationship between nature, wildlife and the local people, including the indigenous Batwa people.
UWCI was the first official partners of SAFE Worldwide and we have a strong collaboration and bond with the team in Mgahinga.
Painted Dog Conservation
Painted Dog Conservation (PDC) is a world-class NGO in Dete, Zimbabwe, with the mission to save the critically endangered African Painted Dogs.
They promote human-wildlife co-existence and also have a focused approach poaching and the bushmeat trade.
SAFE Worldwide has been partnered with PDC since 2018 and we have supported many projects, including anti-poaching initiatives, 2 solar vet clinics and support during the COVID pandemic.
OFORA FOUNDATION
Friends Of Rhino (OFORA) Foundation is a Non-profit; Non-Goverment organization committed to the conservation of the world`s 5 rhinoceros species.
Our work with OFORA specifically addresses conservation projects with the Javan Rhino in Indonesia.
HEWT
The Human Empowerment and Welfare Trust (HEWT) was founded in 2012 by Zulki Khan of Silicon Valley and has provided interest-free microloans to hundreds of women and families in need in Pakistan.
They have partnered with SAFE Worldwide to provide hundreds of microloans to areas where we create human-wildlife co-existence projects. We ‘ve supported projects in the Kisoro/Gisozi region of Western Uganda and near the Virunga Mountains in Ruwenzori, Rwanda.
TIKKI Hywood Foundation (THF)
The newest partner, Tikki Hywood Foundation (a non-profit in Zimbabwe) strives to bring recognition, awareness and sustainable conservation action to lesser known endangered species, such as Pangolin.
They work towards sustainable and holistic management of ecosystems and their wild resource, to realise their mission statement, which is; “Utilising conservation and education as stepping stones towards a future where humans live in harmony with nature”.
We are truly excited to partner with Lisa and her team and be able to support their critical work in Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Liberia and Uganda.
California Wolf Center
SAFE Worldwide is committed to supported the protection and conservation of wolves in America. Since our first official visit to Yellowstone, where the reintroduction of wolves into Yellowstone occurred in 1985, we researched for years as to which NA organization to support.
The California Wolf center met all of our criteria, including the importance of not just caring for the wolves at the sanctuary, but promoting the reintroduction of the critically endangered grey wolves back into their natural habitat.
SACOLA
Sabyinyo Community Livelihood Association (SACOLA), is a community-based non-profit located in Musanze, Rwanda.
SACOLA’s mission is to conserve the local environment, and its wildlife, strengthen the community, protect cultural traditions, and develop sustainable infrastructure.
